Xiaoling Gu is currently with School of Computer Science and Technology, in Hangzhou Dianzi University (HDU). She received her Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from Zhejiang University of Finance & Economics, Master’s Degree in Computer Software and Theory from Hangzhou Dianzi University and Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science from Zhejiang University in 2008, 2011 and 2017, respectively. Her Ph.D. advisor is Prof. Gang Chen. Before joining HDU, she was a software engineer in Alibaba inc in 2011. She joined Prof. Mohan’s research group as an intern researcher from 2016 to 2017 in National University of Singapore.
She mainly applies machine learning and deep learning techniques to computer vision problems and multimedia applications. Her research interests include AI designer, fashion data analysis, cross-media retrieval and recommendation system, etc. Her research results have been published at prestigious journals and conferences, e.g., ACM SIGIR, ACM Multimedia, ACM ICMR, Information Sciences.
